Aims and Scope

Aim

Jurnal Kajian Lokalitas dan Masyarakat (P-ISSN: [dalam proses], E-ISSN: [dalam proses]) is a double-blind peer-reviewed and open-access journal published twice a year by Yayasan Insan Cendekia Nusantara (ICNU).

Kawulo: Jurnal Kajian Lokalitas dan Masyarakat is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, and open-access journal dedicated to advancing scholarly understanding of  localities, and communities transformation from the perspective of interdisipliner Islamic sociology, theology, education, economics, and law. The journal provides an academic forum for research and scholarly works that examine processes, strategies, practices, and innovations aimed at strengthening well-being.

Kawulo aims to promote locally grounded scholarship that connects academic perspectives  of interdisipliner Islamic sociology, theology, education, economics, and law. The journal encourages interdisciplinary approaches that contribute to a deeper understanding of islamic local societies.

The journal welcomes contributions from scholars, researchers, educators, practitioners, and other academics from Indonesia and abroad whose works make a clear theoretical, empirical, methodological, or practical contribution to the study of communities and localities.

Scope

Jurnal Kajian Lokalitas dan Masyarakat  invites submissions of original academic articles that explore communities and localities from the perspective of interdisipliner Islamic sociology, theology, education, economics, and law, integrating other academic disciplines. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

1. Community and Locality Studies
   Studies of local communities, social relations, community structures, local identities, and the dynamics of communities in different geographical and cultural contexts.

2. Religious and Faith-Based Communities
   Studies of religious communities, faith-based initiatives, religious education, Islamic community development, religious traditions, and the role of religion in community life and social transformation.

Jurnal Kajian Lokalitas dan Masyarakat particularly welcomes interdisciplinary and community-based studies that integrate perspectives. The journal does not limit contributions to a particular geographical area. Studies from Indonesia and other local, national, regional, and international contexts are welcome, provided that they offer a clear scholarly contribution to the understanding of communities, localities, or processes of social transformation.
